About This Game
Zoochosis is a first-person bodycam-style horror simulation that combines animal care, investigation, and psychological tension inside a zoo that slowly becomes impossible to understand. Players take the role of a night-shift zoo worker whose routine responsibilities begin turning into something far more dangerous after unusual behavior spreads among the animals. Rather than relying on nonstop jump scares, the game builds horror through atmosphere, observation, and the growing feeling that normal procedures are no longer working.
The gameplay revolves around maintaining animal enclosures, completing daily tasks, monitoring unusual activity, and deciding how to respond when conditions begin changing. Early gameplay feels structured and procedural—feeding animals, checking habitats, handling equipment, and moving between sections of the zoo. Over time, signs of infection, mutation, or unexplained behavior start appearing and routine management turns into survival and investigation.
One of Zoochosis’ most interesting ideas is how it blends simulation mechanics with horror progression. Players are not simply escaping danger; they continue performing responsibilities while trying to understand what is happening. Managing animal conditions, deciding which situations require intervention, and dealing with limited information creates tension naturally. Every decision feels more stressful because mistakes may affect both progression and survival.
Version 3.0.0-P2P introduces updates focused on gameplay flow, technical improvements, environmental polish, and smoother interaction systems. Compared to earlier versions, movement and object interaction appear more responsive and overall pacing feels more refined during longer sessions. Stability updates also help maintain immersion while moving between larger zoo sections and handling multiple active events.
Unlike traditional horror games centered on combat, Zoochosis focuses heavily on atmosphere and perspective. The bodycam-style presentation changes how environments feel by narrowing visibility and making close observation more important. Dim corridors, empty exhibits, maintenance areas, and unexpected animal behavior create tension without requiring constant action.
Visually, the game uses realistic enclosure design, environmental lighting, and restrained effects to support immersion. Audio plays an equally important role through distant sounds, enclosure activity, radio communication, and environmental noise that constantly creates uncertainty about what is happening nearby.
Zoochosis is a bodycam horror simulation game. You’re a zookeeper. Identify infected mutant animals, make a vaccine and cure them. Will you save all of them and survive?
Who Should Play It?
Zoochosis is a strong choice for players who enjoy atmospheric horror, first-person immersion, and slower narrative progression. Fans of psychological horror and simulation-inspired gameplay will likely appreciate its unusual combination of management and suspense.
